Innovation of EDA THESS - Distribution Users Access to the Electronic Metering Data Monitoring Platform of the Hourly Measured Delivery Points

EDA THESS, with the aim of continuously upgrading the services provided and in line with the provisions of the Metering Regulation, provides to each Distribution User operating in the Distribution Networks of the areas of its License, i.e. the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki and the Region of Thessaly, the possibility of remote access to the metering data of the Hourly Measured Delivery Points registered in its Customer Register.

By mytelemetrydata service, update on natural gas consumption of Large and Industrial Consumers is carried out in the most transparent and direct way. This application is a useful tool for Distribution Users, which assists in the enhancement of the accuracy of Natural Gas quantity transmission forecasts and consequently to the optimal management of the relevant portfolio.

At the same time, EDA THESS, in the context of the security of information and information systems, ensures the compliance with the default and planned security principles. Moreover, all measures are taken so that both access and management of the data are maintained at high security levels. For the Distribution Users access to the Service, it is required to obtain passwords upon submission of the relevant request.

All Hourly Measured Delivery Points belonging to the Distribution Network of     EDA THESS are equipped with Automatic Electronic Volume Corrector (PTZ) and are connected to a special telemetry system. Distribution Users, by connecting to the service, are able to access remotely on a daily basis the hourly data and information recorded as:

  • Meter reading
  • Recorded pressure
  • Recorded temperature
  • Natural gas consumption under normal conditions of pressure and temperature (Nm3)
  • Comparative consumption history charts
  • Consumption Reports - Statistics
  • Exportable consumption files (xlsx)

In this context, the Manager of Metering and Billing of EDA THESS, Mrs. Elena Zouglou points out that «the application of innovative technologies is important both for the development of more efficient networks and for the better business planning of Distribution Users. At the same time, the quality of service is enhanced, thus contributing to the consolidation of a more effective cooperation between both parties».

By implementing the above application, the General Manager of EDA THESS Mr. Leonidas Bakouras emphasizes that «EDA THESS, by strictly adhering to the Regulatory Framework, offers quality services to Distribution Users, contributes to the smooth operation of the gas market by using its high level of expertise and experience and at the same time is moving towards the already ongoing digitization of the Distribution Network. The Company promotes innovation and systematically invests in information systems and new technologies, with ultimate goal of the total transition to digital transformation. By this way, flexibility as well as the security levels of the distribution networks are increased, always aiming at the provision of optimal services to final consumers».
