DEPA Management Team visits EDA THESS
 

 

Mr. Dimitrios Tzortzis, DEPA CEO and Dr. Kiriaki Karakitsou, Division Head, Subsidiaries’ follow-up visited EDA THESS’ premises where they were informed by Mr. Leonidas Bakouras, General Manager and Executive Managers  on the gas penetration progress, the distribution network safety and the main pillars of the Investment Plan of the Company for the next five years.

After that, a meeting took place with Mr. V. Bouras, Chairman and the BoD members of EDA THESS, where satisfaction for the positive results of the Company and the excellent work of the management was expressed.

DEPA’s Thessaloniki visit schedule included the presentation of EDA THESS’ Training Lab in Kalochori, where they had the opportunity to get a closer look at the simulation of the Gas Distribution Network and visit the most technologically updated Gas Decompression Station of the Company in Lagkadas, Thessaloniki, in the presence of Mayor of Lagkadas, Mr. Ioannis Karagiannis.

EDA THESS’ Training Labs are leading training centers established to train staff and all stakeholders. Furthermore, EDA THESS’ gas decompression stations are a model facility throughout Europe; they are the first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities in Greece manufactured in compliance with the strictest safety standards.

On behalf of EDA THESS management team, reference was made to the organizational model, the sound structure and the implementation of modern practices, such as the personnel evaluation system. As pointed out, the experience of the Company in combination with the organization and new technologies ensures the further network expansion with safety, as provided for in the 2018-2022 Development Plan, thus creating added value with multiple benefits to the community.

Mr. Tzortzis, welcomed the progress and positive results of the Company, underlining that EDA THESS has won the confidence of the public as evident from the more than 54% gas penetration rate in the areas of the License. Finally, he confirmed DEPA’s full support to the 5-year Investment Program of the Company, to the initiatives undertaken and the innovative actions implemented for the gas network expansion in existing and new licensed areas both for the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki and the Region of Thessalia.
