More than 5,100 connection applications were submitted to EDA THESS during May, with the Company to record high growth rates of its clientele for one more month.
At the same time, investments for network’s expansion continue unabated, with the Company completing 16 km of new low – pressure pipelines in May, reaching a total of 58 km from the beginning of the year.
As noted by the Manager of Gas Market Development of EDA THESS, Mr. M. Stergiopoulos, the Company kept the customer service offices open in all cities, during the implementation of the restrictive measures due to the Pandemic, while providing many of its services electronically and also ensured the full operation and maintenance of its network.
EDA THESS operates by fully respecting the Regulatory Framework, conducting autopsies and completing works for new connections within 60 days, in the areas covered by the network. At the same time, implements investments with consistency to expand its network, as provided by the Company’s Development Program, which has already been approved by RAE.
For her part, the Manager of Gas Market Development in Thessaly, Mrs. E. Kalogirou stressed that new Connection Contracts for 2020 reach 6,000 to date, while the distributed volumes for first five months of the year amounted to ~265 mil. cubic meters, showing an increase of 4% compared to the same period of 2019. Additionally, works for the connection of new areas are continued, as in 2020 four areas will be integrated to gas network in Thessaly (Ampelonas, Sykourio, Pyli, Mouzaki) and one in Thessaloniki (Kardia).
Also, EDA THESS’ offer in the New Gas Connections for “100% Discount on Connection Fees” is in force throughout 2020. The offer is valid for all new consumers who will sign a Connection Contract and for all uses (Domestic, Commercial, Industrial).
The results of the first five months of 2020, confirm the Company’s strategic development, the organization and programming that implements with consistency. Despite the unfavorable conditions created by the pandemic, EDA THESS is recording strong growth in all fields and implements in full and strictly within schedule, its large investment plan for the network’s expansion in the areas of its License, achieving the objectives set in the Development Program 2020 – 2024.
