Dynamic presence of EDA THESS in 84th TIF

At the heart of the interest of the three – day event on energy issues was EDA THESS during the 84th TIF, which received the congratulations from the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Hatzidakis, for its strategic planning and development, as well as for its excellent organizational operation and the robust results associated with a targeted strategic policy.

Participation to the Southeast Europe Energy Forum 2019

 

 

Dynamic was the presence of EDA THESS at the Southeast Europe Energy Forum 2019 held in Thessaloniki on Friday, organized by the Hellenic – American Chamber of Commerce and the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics. The conference was welcomed by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Gerassimos Thomas, the U.S. Ambassador, Mr. Jeffrey Paiat, the Ambassador of Italy, Mr. E. Luigi Marras and a large number of Greek energy market representatives was present.

 

Intense was the interest of the attendees on the Company’s strategic development, as presented by the General Manager of EDA THESS, while at the core of his presentation was the investment plan for the next 5 years. Mr. Bakouras reported that the stable legislative and regulatory framework is an incentive for the country’s investment growth and attraction.

 

The Deputy Minister of Energy and Environment at EDA THESS’ premises

 

The Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Gerassimos Thomas visited on Saturday, EDA THESS’ innovative Decompression Station of natural gas in Chalastra, Municipality of Delta.

 

The Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy had the opportunity to be informed for the uninterrupted gas supply which is guaranteed by the compliance with technical specifications and network design, operation and maintenance requirements, achieving high efficiency targets in the distribution activity. Impressed by EDA THESS’ innovative action to supply remote areas with CNG Technology, he acknowledged the Company’s contribution to both the development of local communities and the prospects for the industry and commercial use. As pointed out, the role of EDA THESS is crucial in the broadening of the country’s energy map.

 

 

EDA THESS’ inauguration in the 84th TIF

 

Entire the political leadership of the Ministry of Energy attended the inauguration of EDA THESS’ stand, which held on Saturday in 84th TIF.

 

The inaugural kick off was given by the  Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis. He congratulated the Company on initiatives that created pivotal points in the country’s energy sector and contributed to the energy market’s maturation. With an effective management, ensuring a healthy work environment and high know – how, EDA THESS is supporting the economy and consumers, by providing high quality services and implementing the lowest distribution tariffs in Greece. He also mentioned that the Company takes care of the environment by its actions, contributing significantly to the reduction of pollutant emissions.

 

Mr. Bakouras welcomed the attendees and stated the Company’s intention is to continue investments at a steady pace. In particular, he stressed that for the next 5 years investments are expected to reach € 100 million. At the same time, he welcomed the announcements of the new government, as the reduction in the profit and dividend rates reinforces EDA THESS’ investment plan.

 

In his speech, the Chairman of the Company’s BoD, Mr. Venetios Bouras, emphasized that EDA THESS constitutes a role model, a designation given to us by others” and as he stated, the main objective is to serve consumers effectively and with consistency.

 

During the inauguration, the General Secretary of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mrs. Alexandra Sdoukou, congratulated the General Manager on the efficient organizational structure and the Company’s results.

 

A special honor was the attendance of the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Gerasimos Thomas, and the Deputy Minister of Interior responsible on issues for Macedonia – Thrace, Mr. Theodoros Karaoglou, who also congratulated the General Manager for the Company’s contribution to the local communities of the License Areas.

 

It was a rather successful event, as the EDA THESS’ Stand was visited by the whole personnel of the Company, numerous representatives of the political leadership on energy issues, authorities, bodies, representatives of security forces, professional and technical associations, diplomatic corps members, veteran players, as well as citizens.
